- The Q224 UK Market Monitor looks at movements in the market this last quarter. On the second page we include a summary piece, highlighting the benefits of an unlevered approach to renewable infrastructure versus both debt and levered equity approaches.
- AlphaReal’s renewable infrastructure survey, that was completed by UK pension funds and insurers who collectively manage almost £360 billion, yielded some interesting findings. This includes that 90% of pension funds and insurers plan to increase allocations to renewable energy in the next 12 months.
- The long income team has recently structured and invested in a portfolio of 28 childcare facilities located across the UK on behalf of the retirement specialist, Just Group plc, taking the investment milestone to over £500 million.
- AlphaReal’s renewable infrastructure portfolio reached £1 billion in AUM, a significant milestone. The team recently completed the acquisition of 2 ground-mount solar assets, a 33MW asset near Darlington that is under construction and a 40.36MW newly commissioned site in Shropshire, the largest ground-mount solar site in its portfolio.
