Sustainability

Our responsible investment approach seeks to ensure that, where possible, our investment activities can result in positive sustainability outcomes to people and the planet whilst also seeking to mitigate any negative outcomes. To assist with this approach, we typically invest in long-term assets and relationships.

Our areas of focus

Commercial
Ground Rents

This strategy focuses on structuring long-dated, inflation-linked secure income assets that provide stable and predictable returns for institutional investors. Although the strategy does not have a sustainability objective, responsible investing is woven into our investment processes.

Social Infrastructure

This strategy seeks to deliver positive sustainability impact in fit-for-purpose facilities that support the delivery of essential services. It is defined as the enhanced provision of and access to assets that deliver health, housing, and education services where there is an identified unmet need and/or underserved groups.

Renewable Infrastructure

As the UK accelerates its transition to a net-zero carbon economy, the Group continues to grow its portfolio of renewable energy investments, leveraging innovative solutions and a diversified approach. Our funds invest in UK onshore wind and ground-mount solar assets.

We are
committed to...

Identifying, measuring and managing ESG-related risks, and, where appropriate / possible, opportunities

Regularly considering and reporting on our commitments and progress

Ensuring ESG risk management is integrated into our investment process using sector scorecards

Incorporating responsibility, including sustainability, into our engagement with key stakeholders

Continuously seeking improvement in our ability to gather and disclose relevant data

Promoting a culture of responsibility

Our real assets provide real world benefits

We integrate ESG factors into our investment processes to effectively manage sustainability-associated risks, from the initial appraisal stage, through to the Investment Committee, and during ongoing management. In the case of funds pursuing positive sustainability objectives, our focus is to ensure the delivery of the specific sustainability outcomes.
