AlphaReal reaches £5 billion AUM and secures two senior hires as business grows

AlphaReal, the specialist real assets investment manager has seen its assets under management grow to reach the significant milestone of £5 billion, as the business continues to build for the long-term.

AlphaReal provides institutional investors, financial advisers and wealth managers with secure income strategies, by investing in UK and European assets with predictable stable long term cash flows. It provides market leading and innovative real asset solutions across a range of investments such as commercial ground rents, renewable infrastructure, social infrastructure and secured lending, combining operational real estate expertise and fixed income skills.

As the asset manager continues to grow, it’s expanding its team and announces the hire of two senior resources for the business: Chris Palmer, Senior Adviser to AlphaReal, and Jamie Cash, Senior Funds Director.

Chris Palmer, former Head of Illiquid Asset Origination for Phoenix Group plc, brings a wealth of experience working with insurers in originating and structuring private assets. Furthermore, his expertise in working with DB and DC pension schemes is invaluable in his role as Senior Adviser.

Jamie Cash joins from Rothesay Life, where he focused on long income and commercial mortgages.

He brings to AlphaReal a decade of commercial property and advisory experience across a broad range of asset classes including hotels, healthcare, office, and retail having transacted on over £2 billion in equity and debt transactions globally.

Additionally, Jamie takes on the role of Co-Fund Manager for AlphaReal’s Index Linked Income Fund (ILIF), the market-leading UK commercial ground rent fund, alongside Mark Rattigan, Chief Operating Officer and Partner.
